Okay, let’s start this off with those questions you already got in the invite. I love questions. Do you?

As a maker or watcher, when do we know a performance has substance? What makes work outstanding or stand out? Because it’s risky, virtuosic, eccentric, political, confrontational, beautiful, funny?
What makes an audience engage with the work? What makes them care?
How do context and expectations support or inhibit work?
How do audiences interact with new work? How can we push the boundaries and take our audience with us?
To what extent do we permit the audience to measure the validity of our work?
How can we develop a practice of open, critical and nurturing dialogue between audiences and artists? How can audiences be empowered to interact and not feel intimidated?
